The Atlantic Ocean tides along the rocky coast at Haystack reveal layers of habitat and this vessel aimed to capture some of the movement of water as well as living an non-living structures. Local beach sand, composed of decompoing granite, minerals, and marine-origin calcium silicates, was utilized as well as Deer Isle minerals from over 15 feet of depth.
